LSU junior linebacker Kevin Minter has opted to forgo his final season of eligibility and make himself available for the upcoming NFL Draft.
The Suawannee, Georgia native is projected to go early in the second round.
Minter has just completed one of the most productive seasons for a Tiger defender in school history, racking up 130 tackles, 15 tackles for losses, 4 sacks and four quarterback hurries. His 130 tackles in 2012 ranked as the fifth-highest in LSU history.
Minter had a breakout game against Florida, recording 20 tackles, the second-most in a single game in school history.
He started 24 times for LSU and played in 38 games. He was named LSU's most valuable player last season.
