The winner of last year's New Orleans Bowl, the ULL Ragin' Cajuns, will meet East Carolina in this year's game on December 22 at 11AM at the Superdome.

The Pirates will represent Conference USA in the 12th annual contest.

The invitation to East Carolina was extended Saturday after Tulsa defeated UCF, 33-27 in overtime in the C-USA championship game.

East Carolina won five of its last six regular season games and heads to the postseason at 8-4 overall.

Bowl officials say the team should bring a good following to New Orleans.  The Pirates have led Conference USA in attendance in each of the past 5 years and drew at least 45,000 to each of their six home games this season.
