A new team will be on the sidelines this year for the Hornets' telecasts on the Fox Sports cable channel.

Joel Meyers, a former announcer for the Lakers and Spurs will be paired with former Hornet David Wesley who will serve as the analyst for the games.

Meyers spent 6 years handling the Lakers broadcasts beginning in 2005.  He also served 4 years doing play-by-play for San Antonio.

Wesley spent 7 seasons with the Hornets and 14 years in the NBA.  He retired in 2007.

The Hornets ended their relationship with the longtime broadcast team of Bob Licht and Gil McGregor.  Both presented games on television for the Hornets before the team relocated to New Orleans in 2002.
