-- R.I.P 1st Lt. Jennifer M. Moreno
I recently posted on my Facebook page the photo of 1st Lt. Jennifer M. Moreno and the names of her fellow soldiers who were killed in Kandahar. I posted it as a remembrance and wanted others to see the face of a brave fellow American who died for our country. I wanted others to see her young face, the sparkle in her eyes, and her beautiful smile. I wanted others to appreciate the men and women who fight for our country along with their families who all make a sacrifice. I wanted others to try to understand the pain that comes with being in war.
I tear up every time I see my post and read all the comments, it’s heartbreaking to me. Being the son of a WWII & Korean War veteran, this hits close to home. Dad survived his tours of duty but he still brought home the after affects of seeing combat.
Here’s the LINK in case you’d like to read all the Facebook comments and reflect.
I honor of her and so many other soldiers fighting for our country. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
